Hikes suitable for pushchairs are routes that run along paved or wide paths so that they are easily accessible with a pushchair. Our family hikes or themed hikes are also suitable for hikes with children.
An all-terrain pushchair or a jogger pushchair with large, stable wheels is best suited to mastering uneven routes or gravel paths.
As the paths of the pushchair-friendly hikes are easy and wide, they are also suitable for small children. However, the route and length of the hike should be chosen carefully, as children tire more quickly. Themed hikes are also available to provide children with even more entertainment during the hike.
Our tips for a relaxed hike with a pushchair: Choose a pushchair with large, sturdy wheels (ideally with pneumatic tyres or sprung wheels and make sure it has good brakes, a secure harness and a sturdy construction. Don't forget the packing list for your toddler/baby with baby supplies, sun protection and bad weather gear. If the route becomes a little rockier or more difficult, a baby carrier or sling can be a good addition. This allows you to react more flexibly. Be aware that pushing a pushchair can be strenuous. A good basic level of fitness and regular breaks will help you to enjoy the walk.
