Description

An intermediate-level tour from the Ottoburg restaurant in Innsbruck's historic old town to the Arzler Alm mountain hut.
The route starts by the banks of the River Inn, first following the cycle path along the Inn Promenade to the Mühlauer Brücker bridge and then climbing up through the district of Mühlau to the Bederlungerquelle spring. From there, you follow the Erlenweg uphill until you reach Höhenstraße road. Then it's not far to the Hungerburg district. Pass the car park for the Nordkettenbahnen lift and follow the Rosnerweg trail until you reach the turnoff for the Arzler Alm mountain hut. There, keep left and follow the forest road to the Arzler Alm mountain hut.
Located at an altitude of 1,067 metres above sea level, the Arzler Alm boasts a lovely sun terrace, a children's playground, beautiful views and very good food. For the ride back, you can go via the shady Mühlauer Klamm gorge and the Schillerweg trail, and then follow the route that leads down below the Alpine Zoo back to the Ottoburg.

Highlights:
Great views of Innsbruck and the Nordkette mountain range, which vary greatly throughout the ride. Golden beech forests in autumn.
