01.1 For nature-loving winter hikers
The first stage of the winter long-distance trail from See to Kappl is a highlight for nature lovers. The 15.9-kilometer route starts at the valley station of the Medrigjochbahn in See and leads through the picturesque hamlet of Oberhaus into the Kappl ski area. Cozy lodges along the way invite you to take a break. At the mountain station of the Diasbahn, you can choose to descend into the valley by Snooc (a sit-ski) or by gondola. You can rent a Snooc at the Sunny Mountain Restaurant for a fee.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: See Dorf/Bergbahn
