Description

From the Venetbahn car park, the signposted route (MTB 705) leads to the Riefengebäude, from there on the tarmac road up to Rifenal and on to Falterschein. From there on a gravel path down to Obsaurs and on the tarmac road down to Schönwies. Along the edge of the forest through Schönwies in the direction of Imst to the end of the village (Ried district). From there, the tarmac road leads up to Imsterberg. There you meet the signposted cycle path (MTB 605), which leads to the Imsterberger Venetalm.
Here you have reached the highest point of the tour and can enjoy a leisurely refreshment stop.
From the Imsterberger Venetalm, take the cycle path (MTB 640) down to Wenns. From Wenns, you first take the tarmac, relatively quiet side road up to Piller. There, turn right onto the mountain bike trail 7114. This leads to the Piller Moor and then down to the Kaunergrat Nature Park Centre. However, you don't ride all the way to the nature park house, but turn off at the junction towards Gogles Alm to Fließ and follow the tarmac road to the junction with the mountain bike trail 790. Follow the mountain bike trail to Fließ and from there on the Via Claudia Augusta back to Landeck.
