Difficulty ratings:
Route length: 13 km
Duration: 2:30 h

"Gmiatlich" - that's what we call tours in Tyrol that are neither too long nor too difficult and offer a nice refreshment stop. This MTB tour takes you to the rustic Höllensteinhütte. The excellent hut will spoil you with traditional and gourmet dishes made from regional products.

Tour character

This easy MTB circular tour starts with a leisurely ascent over asphalt and forest paths to the Loschboden. After a stop at the rustic Höllensteinhütte - awarded by BewusstTirol for its use of regional products - the route continues on a gravel road to the rustic Grieralm, which is idyllically situated by a small lake on a sun-drenched plateau. The route back is easy via Juns and Klausboden on the forest road.

Description

Start in Tux-Lanersbach, at an altitude of 1,300 m, at the "Enterwald"-bridge, opposite Sporthotel Kirchler, house no. 453. First walk along the asphalted access road for a while. At the first bend, keep to the right, into the valley. From house no. 509 take the forest road uphill. Follow this path until you have a clear view of the Junsberg, Madseitberg and Grüblspitze from the other side. You have reached the first stage destination, the Höllensteinhütte. After the mountain inn, a gravel path leads through the Tapental valley to the Grieralm. At the crossroads keep left uphill. From the Grieralm, follow the same route downhill via route 4010 Juns - Klausboden back to Lanersbach.
