singletrack Schöneben Trail

Difficulty ratings:
Route length: 3.4 km

Admittedly, the trail is anything but flat. High roots, stones and steps make the trail the perfect test track for any suspension. The grand finale comes at the very end: a tricky hairpin bend with two high drops needs to be tackled with precision. Close your eyes and ride through!

Tour character

From the mountain station of the Schöneben cable car, the trail of the same name soon leads into the forest. Over roots, stones and steps, the route picks up speed and crosses the Schöneben flow trail several times. If you find it too difficult here, it's better to change trails. Because the key section comes at the end: a narrow, rooty hairpin bend with two high drops. It doesn't get any more enduro than this!

Description

The upper section of the red Schöneben Trail (S2) runs for just under 2 kilometres from the mountain station of the Schöneben cable car down through sparse forests to the overpass, the junction towards the 3-Länder Trail. It nestles into the landscape and really lets it rip in places. However, there are also challenging root passages from time to time.
