Description

From Kirchberg’s village centre, cycle as for the Kirchberg-Kitzbühel circuit to Reith and via the Rerobichl to Oberndorf and via Sperten/Weitau to St. Johann. At the roundabout briefly take the B 178 and after 500 m at the M-Preis supermarket turn left onto the old country road. The legendary climb to Gasteig follows. Once you reach the top, take a nice cycle across the plateau past Gasteig and Griesenau in the direction of Schwendt.  Arrive at the village centre via the short but snappy "Schwendter Bichl".  It’s a rapid descent to Kössen, at the roundabout turn right to Erpfendorf/St. Johann. Cycle along the Erpfendorfer Straße until shortly before Erpfendorf. There, before the bridge over the Großache, turn right onto the old road and take the quiet side road to St. Johann. Cross the main road through the subway and head towards the centre of St. Johann or to the gondola station. From there, take the beautiful Römerweg on the west side of the Kitzbüheler Horn to Kitzbühel and then on to Kirchberg.
