The Wilde Kaiser Bike Path impresses with its scenic attractiveness. The bike path leads past lovingly preserved farms and through village centers that are provided with striking sacred buildings in Tyrol. Along the way, numerous refreshment stops invite you to take a short break, where you can charge your own energy as well as that of your e-bike.
You start at the mighty deanery parish church in the market town of St. Johann in Tyrol. First, the tour takes you along the Innsbrucker Straße and via the Sperten Bridge to Oberndorf. Then, you will reach Going after passing Reith. The Wilder Kaiser cycle path then passes through the village centers of Going and Ellmau - in these two villages Hans Sigl alias Dr. Martin Gruber practices in the TV series -Der Bergdoktor-. You continue cycling in the direction of Scheffau - this village is passed at the district Blaiken.
In the neighboring village of Söll the cycle path leads you again to the village center. Via the hamlet of Pirchmoos you reach Kirchbichl/Bruckhäusl. The valley now becomes noticeably wider and the destination Wörgl is a stone's throw away. Wörgl itself is one of the fastest growing communities in Tyrol. From 1875, after the construction of the Gisela railroad (named after the second daughter of Emperor Franz Josef I), the town became a railroad junction in the Tyrolean lowlands, thus laying the foundation for the business location that is still extremely important today. You will now start your return journey on this very railroad. Regional trains run hourly between Wörgl and the district of Kitzbühel.
The team of the vacation region wishes you a varied and pleasant bike tour!
