Description

Kitzalps trail tour with lift support - red

Distance: 57 KM / Total altitude: 2942 / Altitude with lift: 2436 / Highest point: 1759 M

Description:
We start from the parking lot of the Bergbahnen St.Johann in Tirol and buy there the Kitzbüheler Alpen Trail Card.
At the same time you will also receive the exit card for the parking lot at the end of the tour at the ticket office.
The gondola lift takes you to the middle station and straight into the first trail of the day.

The Harschbichl trail (S2) is a varied flow trail with root and stone passages but also perfect berms and tables, doubles and other obstacles for jumping.
Once in the valley, we cycle via the Weitau district on to Oberndorf to the Schmiedboden settlement.
Through the romantic "Bichlach" we continue past the Schwarzsee lake and through the center of the sports town of Kitzbühel to the valley station of the Hahnenkamm cable car.
At the top, after a short, crisp climb, we reach the "Bernhardkapelle" and subsequently the entrance to the Fleckalm Trail (S3).

This enduro trail of the special class winds over 7.1 km over (alp)dreamlike root passages, fast and rough speed sections, innumerable approach curves, tables and drops and over exciting northshore elements into the valley to the station of the Fleckalm Godelbahn.

On the next uphill ride we relax and enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama from the Hohe Salve over the Wilder Kaiser to the Kitzbüheler Horn.

Once at the top, the next adrenaline rush awaits you, the Hahnenkamm Trail (S2).
The upper part leads across alpine meadows and offers some highlights for high-speed junkies.
Then it's on through the forest over roots and stone passages until in the lower section countless approach curves lead the trail to the end.

With a big smile on our faces, we bike through the center of the legendary sports town of Kitzbühel and slowly make our way back to St.Johann.
The route leads us on the time-honored Roman path to Oberndorf. There the OD Trails are waiting for us at the end.

The OD Trails offer 3 lines with 1 km each and different levels of difficulty.
The offer is rounded off with a drag lift for the ascent and a great jumpline for beginners and advanced skiers.

Now the final sprint to St.Johann in Tirol where we finish the tour with a cool refreshment in the pedestrian zone in the center of town.
An eventful day full of many emotions is now coming to an end.

Tips: * You can of course start the tour at any place along the route.
            * You can of course add an extra lap on your favorite trail at any time.
