Description

We start this tour at Westendorf’s information office. Along route No. 21, which leads through the Brixen Valley, we have a perfect cycle to the Gasthof Jagerhäusl with a minimal incline. Directly after the Jägerhäusl the route leads us over the bridge crossing the river, the Windauer Ache, after which it goes uphill to the right for 8 km along a gravel track towards Straubing on the MTB route 206. After a short, steep ascent, route 207 leads to the Käsealm Straubing, but we continue straight ahead towards the Kienzlingalm. Past ancient oak and maple trees, the path leads uphill over Alpine meadows. From the highest point there is a short descent, after which we reach the Kinzlingalm. (Connection to route 294 Glanterer Kogel). From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Brixen Valley. After a few meters uphill, a relaxing descent follows, which develops into a smooth asphalt road halfway down. Past rustic farms, the path leads us across the Schwaigerberg to the Lendwirt. From here the route goes immediately uphill via the Lenderstraße back towards Westendorf.
