Description

This e-bike tour begins at Going Tourist Information Office. Bike along the Dorfstrasse, past the Raiffeisen Bank and the baker’s to the large car park on the right at the end of the village. Cross this and turn left onto the Auweg. The flat gravel path takes you alongside the Dorfbach stream to the Stanglwirt hotel. There you turn right onto the road to Reith, go past the football pitch and on to the bridge. Turn right at this intersection and keep following the signs to “Hollenauer Kreuz”. From here the route rises steadily past cultivated farms and fields. At the halfway point up the slope you come to the pond covered with water lilies on the plateau, a perfect spot for a rest before tackling the last part with views of the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbüheler Horn mountains. When you reach the Hollenauer Kreuz refreshment stop you can fortify yourself with a homemade apple strudel or a hearty alpine snack. You take the same route back to the starting point.
