Seefeld /
Difficulty ratings:
Route length: 20 km
Duration: 3:15 h

Two lakes, a viewing platform, numerous huts and breathtaking scenery: all this can be found on the Wildmoos circuit by gravel bike. With mostly flat, wonderful gravel paths, it is not very demanding/ easy to ride, so there is more time to concentrate on the essentials: the impressive landscape and the stop at the alpine pasture.

Description

The start of the loop through the Wildmoos is at the information center in Seefeld right next to the train station. From here you drive out of Seefeld before turning off and driving slightly uphill on asphalt through the district of Klosterwald. From here on, the route follows the most beautiful paths through mostly shady forest, which, however, clears again and again and offers the most beautiful views of Seefeld and the surrounding mountains. With a slight, little difficult incline, you ride in the direction ofLake Möser before turning off to the viewing platform on the Brunschkopf. In this part follow the most altitude meters of the tour, but they can be mastered well.

Once at the platform, you experience true sky cinema: from here you can see as far as the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, across the Seefeld Plateau into the Karwendel Mountains and as far as the Stubai Alps. A true alpine cinema! Continue from Brunschkopf along the same path down to the turnoff, where you follow the path to Lottensee. The Lottensee and the shortly following Wildmoossee are two natural phenomena: they are aperiodic and thus not always visible. When exactly they fill with water and thus show themselves in full beauty, even scientists do not know to this day. If you are lucky and see the lakes full of water, you are welcome to cool off here.
Either way, the Lottenseehütte is definitely worth a visit; the best Tyrolean cuisine is served on the sun terrace and in the cozy guest room. Once again only a short distance away is the second alpine pasture of the round, the Wildmoosalm. It is also located on a small lake in a sunny clearing and is ideal for a relaxing stop, because here the majority of the round is already done. Now follows a relaxed descent to Seefeld. Either on asphalt or on the forest road you go downhill until you come to a part of the outward route and on the same way through the monastery forest back to Seefeld. Back in the village you can stroll through the pedestrian zone, enjoy another coffee, cake or ice cream and let the day end perfectly on the bike.
