Description

To get to the starting point, first follow the Franz-Heim-Weg road, which you leave after a few minutes on the right into the Florian-Waldauf-Straße street. At the first fork, keep right on the Meransweg. After a short piece of forest and a housing estate you will find a fork with a wayside shrine and thus the start of the MTB route 584.

This nice and entertaining route leads in constant ascent through the forest up to the meadows at the Gartlach snack station. From there the path continues to the highest point near Steinach. The relaxed descent and thus the way back to the starting point leads over asphalted roads, along the other side of the Kolsassberg.

Special feature: This mountain bike route is decently varied, as it leads through woods and meadows. Very close to the route is the famous Lourdes Chapel, which rewards a small detour with a nice sight.
