Vegan, vegetarian or with meat - always Tyrolean and regional. That is the credo of the Neue Magdeburger Hütte at the foot of the Großer Solstein. The path up the mountain runs along the sunny side of the Karwendel. Enjoy the tranquillity of the Fließer Wald forest and the magnificent view of the Inntal valley.
The challenging but technically not too difficult ascent to the Neue Magdeburger Hütte is on the sunny side of the Karwendel - perfect for warm fall days or late spring. From Zirl through the nearby Brunntal valley, the route climbs steadily uphill over the Ehnbach stream, on towards Paffersmahd and up several hairpin bends to the hut. Good to know: The Neue Magdeburger Hütte is one of the classic Alpine Club huts and has been awarded the environmental seal of approval.

The ascent begins at the northern end of the village at the underpass road along the road to Hochzirl. Shortly after the third hairpin bend, turn right onto the winding road that leads steadily uphill through the flowing forest.
After about four kilometers, turn right again onto mountain bike route 543, with the destination Neue Magdeburger Hütte, from where you have a wonderful view of the Tux and Stubai Alps!
In conjunction with mountain bike route 543, you can return to Zirl on the other side of the Brunntal valley.
