Description

The starting point is the Shell petrol station, from there follow the road to the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn. The circular tour begins above the Hotel Diana Thörle at the Ponöfen parking lot. Follow this route to the Hochthörle hut, where there is a variant to the left up to the Eibseeblick (approx. 10 minutes). From the hut, follow the gravel road downhill, which soon turns into an asphalt road. Pass the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn until you reach the starting point again.

Alternative: Between Hochthörle Hütte and the Zugspitzbahn valley station, you can take the Ehrwalder Höhenweg - route no. 872 to the Gamsalm and on to Ehrwald.
