Description

This tour can be started from Brixen, Kirchberg and Westendorf! We describe the tour from Brixen im Thale. Although the route around the Hohe Salve is not the shortest, it is mostly very flat and almost the entire route is criss-crossed by beautiful cycle paths. Therefore, this tour is also ideal for a family biking outing. We begin on the Brixental cycle path and cycle along an asphalt path to Kirchberg. Here we cross the village and soon find ourselves back on the cycle path towards Kitzbühel. At the golf course at the Schwarzsee lake, the path turns left and leads us to Reith, from where we have to cycle a short stretch on the main road to the Gasthof Reinache. From here we then reach the Stanglwirt on a cycle path and continue along a forest path to the village of Going. Here we cycle uphill for a short while arriving in the village of Ellmau.  Remaining on the cycle path, we pass Scheffau and arrive in Söll. Through the underpass of the main road we reach the centre of Söll. After a few kilometres we then have to cross the main road and reach the small village of Itter after a short climb.  Following the descent, we have to cycle to the right for a few metres to reach the Brixental cycle path. This leads us via Hopfgarten, the Windau and Westendorf back to Brixen.
