Arrival by public transport
Exit bus-stop: Maurach Atoll Achensee
What will it be: cycling just seven kilometers, feeling like you're in the deepest mountains or enjoying luxury? After all, you can't have everything! Except perhaps in the Falzthurntal valley - where these three things come together at the Gramaialm at the end of the valley.
In just seven kilometers, this tour leads through the scenic Falzthurntal valley in the Karwendel mountains to the end of the valley to the Gramaialm. The entire route is asphalted. You can return via the same route or alternatively via the Gernalm. Our tip: pack some cheese from the cheese hut next to the inn and finish off with a dip in Lake Achensee!
From the starting point, follow the cycle path alongside Lake Achensee to Pertisau. At the entrance to Pertisau, turn left and follow the road past the valley station of the Karwendel cable car and continue to the Karwendel valleys. Follow the signs to the Gramai Alm (serviced) via the Alpengasthof Falzturnalm (serviced). From there, the route leads back to the entrance of the Karwendel valleys. At the junction, follow the signs to the Alpengasthof Gern Alm via the Alpengasthof Pletzachalm (serviced). Take the same route back to Pertisau.
