Tastes good. Gault&Millau dishes with a sun terrace at 1,600 meters. The Bayreuther Hütte not only brings together the Ziller, Alpbach and Inn valleys, but also local produce and the best Tyrolean cuisine. The ascent is steep, but suitable for e-bikes.
Popular mountain bike or e-bike tour from Grünsbach near Münster to the Bayreuther Hütte in the Rofan. The tour leads from Münster along a steep forest path with numerous hairpin bends and steadily uphill. After eight kilometers and gradients of up to 18 percent, you reach the Bayreuther Hütte and the neighboring Bergalm - beautifully situated in the Rofan mountains and with an unforgettable view over the peaks of the Central Alps and the Inn Valley. If you still have some energy left, leave your bike at the hut and hike to the Ziereinersee lake or even to the summit of the Sagzahn at 2,228 meters above sea level.
Winter Closing
All MTB and bike routes are closed for safety reasons from 1st November until 1st April of the following year.
These routes are not cleared and many MTB routes are exposed to avalanches.Depending on snow conditions, some routes may need to remainclosed beyond 1st April. For more information and details see your local tourist office.
Helmet, sun glasses, bike shorts, rain proof jacket, hat, drinking bottle, map, first aid kit, mobile phone, camera, bike lock, replacement inner tube, mini tool kit, bike pump, puncture repair kit, sealing (repair) tape, sun cream, energy food (muesli bar), snack, ...From Grünsbach in Münster follow the unpaved forest track to the Bayreuther Hütte – in parts the route is very steep and bendy. After approx. 7 km at the crossing turn left and continue on to the Bayreuther Hütte at 1576m and the Bergalm (both places where you can something to eat and drink).
