Description
“Wadelbeisser” (challenging) tour with the addition of conquering a summit and walking into a wooden work of art.
You first roll up from Neustift to the district of Stackler. The trail goes steadily uphill until you reach the mountain station of Elferbahn. Once there, you’ll find more than just the view and the brave paraglider pilots to admire: A special wooden work of art - the largest walk-in sundial in the Alpine region (inside diameter of 8 metres) - also awaits. Before tackling the last metres of altitude and the descent down into the Pinnis Valley, summiteers can also take in the Elfer peak in around two hours on foot and then roll over the Issenanger and the Herzeben Alm to Neder and back to Neustift.
