Mountainbike-Tour 479 Kaltenbach - Jausenstation Almluft

Description

From Kaltenbach centre you set off over the wooden bridge (only for pedestrians and cyclists) over the Ziller and on to Stumm. When you reach the village, turn left onto the L281, Stummerberger Landesstrasse road, directly in front of the Stummerberg Gemeindeamt (municipal office). After a little more than 2km in total, turn left on a bend (or actually go straight on) heading to Gattererberg. After crossing the Märzenbach stream, you leave the forest behind and move into the sunny fields, meandering round several bends from one farm to the next. Finally, high above the Märzenbach stream, you keep heading north-east along the slope into the valley and after a climb of a little more than 650 metres you reach the destination of the tour at the Gasthof Almluft inn. As well as enjoying the wonderful views from the sun terrace and the regional delicacies, there’s also a playground, lots of different animals around the inn and interesting themed trails about nature in general and the life of bees. The whole tour runs on asphalt roads with little traffic.
