Description

From the starting point at the Festhalle you head for the village centre where you branch off to the right and come to the Ziller in the middle of the valley. You now ride parallel to the river along the Zillertal Cycle Path and out of the valley. You ride across flowering meadows and fields, well away from all motor traffic, absolutely flat heading for the Inntal valley. At Schlitters you pass the beautiful swimming lake, where a café/restaurant invites you to stop for refreshments. Just before the Ziller joins the Inn, you cross the river on the Tiroler Strasse road and then ride in the opposite direction to Bruck. After leaving the village you face a climb of about 500 metres and two long sharp bends. Once you’ve reached the highest point, you continue to ride across gentle undulations - always heading south - and have wonderful views of the entire lower Zillertal valley. Finally you descend via several twists and turns to Hart from where it’s an easy ride back to Fügen.
