Arrival by public transport
The regional bus line 4046 bound for Hinterthiersee will take you to the Thiersee Gh Weißes Rössl stop right next to the starting point. With the KufsteinerlandCard, bus travel within the region is free.
If you're looking for a not-too-long, cozy yet scenic tour, then this loop in the much-filmed Thiersee Valley is just right.
The tour begins in the center of Vorderthiersee – right by the Raiffeisenbank. Initially, you cycle briefly on the main road until reaching the edge of the village. From there, you turn left into Lechnergasse, gently descending through meadows and forests to the lowest point of the route just before the German/Austrian border, which also marks the beginning of the return journey. To return, you turn left there and follow the slightly uphill path back to Vorderthiersee.
