Description

Starting at Fügen, the circuit around the Kellerjoch is a challenging venture for fit and ambitious bikers. The long, but never too steep ascent via the Kupfnerberg and the Finsingtal Valley ensures an ideal session of stamina training within a beautiful landscape. Once you reach Hochfügen, the rest of the way to the Loassattel is as easy as pie. The everyday bustle of the nearby Inntal Valley is imperceptible along the rest of the course. A varied landscape awaits you along the route via Grafenaste and through Bruderwald Forest. You will then reach the three picturesque villages of Hof, Hochgallzein and Troi, in which time appears to stand still. The last leg of the tour takes you through the villages of Maurach, Rotholz, Strass and Schlitters until you reach Fügen, followed by an easygoing 10 km stretch that allows you to warm-down.
Ride from the Festhalle (Festival Hall) in Fügen along route 411 through Finsinggrund to Hochfügen – further uphill, route 412 leads to the Loassattel – after passing Gasthof Loas and then Gasthof Grafenast, the route heads downhill until you reach the crossroads in the Bruderwald Forest – first follow route no. 417 and then switch to route no. 416 to head uphill again toward Mehrerkopf (past the Jausenstation Pirchneraste (snack-bar) and the Plumpmooshütte) – the next downhill run initially leads along route 416 and then along route no. 414, past Gasthof Kogelmoos until you reach Gallzein (Hof) – follow route 418 uphill again to Hochgallzein and Obertroi. The downhill run heads from Untertroi to Maurach – route no. 414 then leads from Rotholz to Strass – then the route passes through the towns of Strass and Schlitters as it takes you back to Fügen. You can also do this tour the other way around.
