Over the Schatzberg Mountain to the Alpbach Valley
The tour starts leisurely via the Roggenboden district and the Schrattenthalhöfe farms to Auffach.
In Auffach take the cable car up to the Schatzberg Mountain. There the actual bike tour begins from here: The trail to the Zottahof in the neighbouring Alpbach Valley is thrilling.
Passing the village of Alpbach and continuing past the Bischoferalm and the Hauserjoch, you head back towards Wildschönau. A stop at the rustic Holzalm Hut is recommended for a break, before tackling the last stage of this popular tour. Pass the idyllic village of Thierbach and take the road leading down to Mühltal and back to the starting point in Oberau. Thierbach is always worth an extra visit!
