Cross-country skiing in the Tyrolean Oberland with Nauders and Kaunertal

A varied network of 130 kilometres of cross-country ski trails is available to Nordic winter sports enthusiasts in Nauders and the Kaunertal.

Those who hit the trails in Nauders don't just cross borders in a sporting sense. The trails connect all sides of the border triangle: North Tyrol, Italian South Tyrol and the Engadin on Swiss territory. The altitude of the Reschen Pass also enhances the training effect.

In winter, the tranquil villages of the Kaunertal between the mighty three-thousand metre peaks of the Ötztal Alps are connected by a network of cross-country ski trails over 25 kilometres long. The routes are so varied that there are trails for all three levels of difficulty. Right at the top: the 8.4 kilometre valley trail, which starts in Feichten and leads through all the villages.
