Cross-country skiing in Ötztal

35 varied cross-country ski trails in all levels of difficulty and up to more than 2,500 metres above sea level inspire Nordic winter sports enthusiasts in Ötztal.

In Ötztal, it doesn't matter whether you opt for skating or classic style. The 143 kilometres of trails are almost equally divided between the two styles: 77 kilometres are classically groomed, 66 kilometres for skaters. Free use of the trails for guests as well as cross-country skiing schools and hire shops round off the offer for cross-country skiers. Those who want to experience cross-country skiing in the evening can do so in Längenfeld, Umhausen and Niederthai. If you are travelling with children, we recommend the practice trail in Vent: there is a snow playground for the little ones right next to the trail.
