Description

The start is at the cross-country skiing centre Schwendt and leads over the Lucknerhof and Kranebittauloipe to the entrance of the bus stop Schwendt Kreuzhäusl. Follow the trail via Unterschwendt to the hamlet of Leitwang and on to the Nordic Center. From the Nordic Center in southwest direction to the sports field. Continue past the sports field through the underpass and then in a right-hand bend and then in a left-hand bend past a row of houses into the open field. Continue right into the forest until you reach a prominent cross-country skiing trail. Turn left through the underpass into another open field in Gundharting. Keep left over a steep slope to the next higher plateau. Then continue past the Hallbruckhof to Kranzach. At the Trachtenstube Achorner we cross the main road.
From there you get to a loop in the open field - if you want to go to the centre of Walchsee you have to get off here and walk along the sidewalk to Seehotel Brunner where the cross-country skiing trail continues.
You can also stay on the trail and return to Schwendt via Bichlach.
