The Gschnitztal trail is 18 km long and is groomed in the classic style. Since 2019, a skating track has also been set up, which runs parallel to the classic track over the entire length with only a few narrow sections.
The Gschnitzalloipe starts in the area of the Trins T-bar lift via an access route or directly at the Trins football pitch. The trail leads past the villages of Trins and Gschnitz to a group of houses on the ascent to the Laponesalm at the end of the valley. There are large panorama signs at the trailheads in Trins and Gschnitz showing the course of the trail.
In addition, the Gschnitztal cross-country skiing area has been awarded the cross-country skiing seal of quality by the province of Tyrol.
