Route description

The Kleinlitzner via ferrata, established in 1988, offers a challenging blend of climbing and walking sections. The ascent starts either at Vermuntstausee or Madlenerhaus lodge, leading to Saarbrücker Hütte. From there, markers guide climbers to the entry point at 2650 meters. The route features difficulty levels from A to C, traversing earthen ramps, steep ascents, and a chimney up to a key crux. The summit climb is achieved via exposed slab ridges, providing stunning views, with safety ensured by continuous steel cables and foothold pins.
