Route description

Difficulty: mostly B/C and C, one passage D; many exposed passages with one narrow section
Times /differences in altitude:
Approach: 15 min.
Via ferrata: 1.5 h / 230 hm
Descent: 45 min. / 340 hm
Starting point:
Middle station of the Stubaier Gletscherbahn, approx. 2290 m

Characteristic:
The via ferrata is cleverly built around cliffy towers and ridges, many nice places invite you to have a rest or to enjoy the scenery. There are some very exposed and exhausting passages to get over, for “bigger people” and “carriers of big rucksacks” the small crevice after the first third of the via ferrata could become to a crux.

From mid-station of Stubai glacier cable car a comfortable half-day excursion (can be connected with a hiking trip to lake “Mutterberger See”). It’s not advisable to hike the via ferrata at wetness. Also experienced children will have fun on this via ferrata. Access and Descent are short; a security rope is advisable.
