Via ferrata Tirolerweg Nauders

Nauders
Difficulty ratings: D

- Ridge via ferrata at almost 3,000 meters above sea level - D/E variant over 6 meter high tower - Partial ascent with mountain railroad possible

We recommend because

The Plamorder Spitze, 2,985 meters high and border mountain between North and South Tyrol, is the destination of the classic "Tiroler Weg". The north-facing ridge via ferrata is very challenging with difficulty level D. The most difficult sections are at the start and just before the summit. An optional D/E variant, a six-metre-high tower, awaits in the middle. Markings are weak in places; fitness, surefootedness and experience are required. From the summit there are excellent views of Lake Reschen, the Goldsee lakes, the Ortler and towards the Engadin in Switzerland. The descent is well secured, but requires concentration. Ascent possible with the mountain railroad up to almost 2,500 meters above sea level (please note the last descent).

Route description
