Approach

The approach (1 hour from Steinseehütte) is marked in blue from the boulders. From there, the path has been re-routed, making it easy to get to the entrance. The descent is also marked in blue.

Descent

From the exit on the right, descend into a notch over the partially insured Schrofen area (max. A / B). Keep to the right in the notch and return to the start of the via ferrata through the rough gorge (max. B) secured with a steel cable that is loosely tensioned in places. Via the ascent back to the hut.

Route description

In the round with the Spiehlerturm (2,550 m), Parzinnturm (2,590 m) and Steinkarturm (2,595 m), the via ferrata leads in a fantastic route with incomparable views of the Steinsee and many walls and peaks on the ridge between Steinkarturm and Steinkarspitze.

Over the typical, inclined slabs, it is not too difficult to get to the ridge in the well-stepped rock. A pleasant half-day tour from the hut, which can also be mastered with children - provided they are fit, have alpine experience and additional safety.

Parking
Parking is available at the Alfuzalm. From there it takes about 2 hours to get to the Steinseehütte.
