Route description

An extraordinary and fast-paced sport via ferrata in the alpine area. Only suitable for the absolute specialists, and without bypass and emergency exit!
The via ferrata runs up next to the waterfall. Two overhanging places must be climbed over. The via ferrata was opened in 2007.
Character: well-secured via ferrata in a wonderful setting. Also mostly cool in the summer months due to its northern orientation. Due to the waterfall, the lower part may be wet due to the wind. In addition, watch out for ice in spring. Above all, the overpowering overhang in the exit area should not be underestimated.

Approach: From Fendels by lift to the Sattelklause mountain station (1870m). Past the Fendler-Alpe (1970m) to the Zirmesköpfl. Follow a beautifully laid high path to the Fissjochboden. A newly created path leads down to the Stalanzer Bach. First follow the stream and then go right through the forest to the start of the via ferrata (approx. 2100m).
Boarding time: approx. 2 hours
Alternative boarding: from Fendels: 3h or
from Ried 3-3.5h.

Descent: from the via ferrata to the right you can reach the Anton-Renk hut (2260m) via the blocks and then take the Höhenweg back to Zirmesköpfl and to Fendels or after the Anton-Renk hut, descend on a path to the Stalanzer Bach and continue to Ried.
