Climbing route Weißer Riese

Huben bei Längenfeld / Climbing garden Nösslach
Difficulty ratings: 6b
Duration: 0:10 h

A white giant like this may sound intimidating, but even mid-level climbers quickly become friends. The Nösslach climbing garden serves everything between French difficulty levels 5 and 7 around the giant with 58 routes.

Route character

The "Weißer Riese" climbing route is located in the sector of the same name and stands out in particular due to the bright, white rock in an otherwise dark gray wall. The climbing is very varied for the grade and demands both technical ability and a good deal of strength from the climber. In addition to technical ability, you need solid finger strength for the round ledges to climb the route. For the level of difficulty (6b), the tour is not a gift. You have to keep your wits about you and stick with it to the end.

Approach

First follow the path out of the valley to the Nösslacher Wand. After around 200 meters, turn right at a fork in the path towards Umhausen/Wiesle. Shortly after the fork, a narrow path branches off to the right, which takes you to the wall in around 10 minutes.
