Climbing route Number one direkt

Going am Wilden Kaiser / Climbing garden Schleierwasserfall
Difficulty ratings: 7b+
Duration: 0:40 h

You really can't recommend this challenging classic as the "Number One" - it's a good thing that the Schleierwasserfall climbing garden has another 200 routes to prepare for your forearms. But they are all crisp.

Route character

The limestone in the area of the "Number One" route is one of the best rock sections Tyrol has to offer. The climbing route is located in the "Graue Wand" sector and is very challenging right from the start and has two striking passages in the lower section with wide moves on large holes that require maximum strength on the one hand and good foot technique on the other (at least for small climbers). At the end of the route, a difficult passage on small ledges awaits the already pumped forearms.

Approach

Follow the forest road straight ahead along the stream. Turn right over a bridge and at the next fork follow the middle path through the gate. At a left-hand bend, follow the small path steeply uphill to the right (Schleierwasserfall signpost) until you reach the forest road again. Continue slightly uphill. Follow the road to the right under the already visible rock band until a small path (signpost) to the left leads directly to the waterfall. Walking time approx. 40 minutes.
