Miracles are said to happen all the time. The granite oasis "Niederthai" in the middle of the limestone-heavy Tyrol certainly borders on one for granite lovers. The "Miracle" route is probably the most logical route and leads through a free-standing but bombproof granite block in a wonderful crack climb.
The climbing route "Le Miracle" is located in the "Minas Tirith & Glatteis" sector and begins with a challenging start. Followed by one and a few strenuous moves on ledges. Then comes a good resting position before you start into the crux. On sight, it's not easy to read which hand to use at which point in the crack. Once you have conquered this section, you come to the wider crack, which stretches all the way to the base of the route. Now you no longer need maximum strength, but the right technique and a little stamina.
