Family holiday in Brixental Valley

Tyrol is rugged and steep everywhere? Not at all! Brixental Valley, for example, proves the opposite and shows that the Alps can also be gentle grass mountains. The ideal introduction for budding alpinists, so to speak.

Sure, you won't find any jagged 3,000 metre peaks in the valley between Wörgl and Kitzbühel - but you will find playgrounds, easy (and challenging) hikes and plenty of water. The latter, of course, in the many lakes and swimming pools in the region, but also in numerous springs that not only provide the best drinking water, but also flow into the valley through gorges suitable for canyoning. If that's not enough variety for you, you can hike up the Gaisberg with goats, walk around Westendorf with alpacas, playfully get to know the mountains and their inhabitants at Alpinolino, explore the world of giants at Filzalmsee or end the day with pony riding. Oh yes: you can also enjoy archery and trails here, as Kirchberg is known as the archery village and venue of the Austrian Masters.
