You simply can't avoid Kaspressknödel in Tyrol. The most difficult decision is always whether you want them with soup or salad.
Finely chop the onion and sauté with butter. Mix the dumpling bread and grated cheese. Then add the onion, milk, eggs and spices and mix everything well. Shape the mixture into dumplings and press them flat.
Fry the dumplings in a pan until golden brown on both sides and serve with various salads or a soup.
