Five years is a long time. This makes the lovingly handcrafted costumes of the individual carnival groups all the more impressive. Traditional materials are often used, such as wool, silk or other natural fabrics. Local craftsmen and women work together to create true works of art. Special highlights are the huge hats of the "Schleicher", which weigh up to 8 kilos. Due to the rarity of the Schleicherlaufen, the anticipation in Telfs is already palpable in the weeks leading up to it. After the carnival, there is great sadness at the fictitious funeral of the "Naz".
