When the farmers' pride and joy returns home after the summer, the small village of Pfunds hosts a folk festival - or rather two. The Almabtrieb festivals are a long-standing tradition.
centuries of Tyrolean tradition are lived out at the cattle driving festivals in Pfunds. At the "Schafschoad" or "Schafschied", things can get a little rougher when it comes to catching the sheep and assigning them to their farmers. Guests can also experience how sheep are shorn for their valuable wool.
