The Nockspitze, or Saile, is a popular panoramic mountain near Innsbruck - especially for sunrise hikes. The Großer Ahornboden is one of our greatest and most fascinating natural treasures. Over 2,000 old and gnarled sycamores are spread across a grassy plain, flanked by the rocky giants of the Karwendel mountains. We still sometimes wonder why "The Lord of the Rings" wasn't filmed here. Especially in autumn, when the maples turn golden-orange, you can take wonderful photos here.
It's probably the photo motif from Tyrol that adorns most Instagram feeds: Standing on the suspension bridge not far from the Olpererhütte, you seem to be - well - hanging directly above the Schlegeis reservoir. The architecturally appealing hut cuts a fine figure in any photo, as does the heart placed above it as a symbol of solidarity and love for the mountains. Either way, a visit to the Olpererhütte will do your feed good.
One of the most popular photo motifs in Tyrol has to be worked for. The ascent to the Bärenkopf via the Bärenbadalm takes around 3 hours. The Bärenkopf is one of the few places from which you can see the entire Achensee. The lake, which is deeply embedded in the mountains, otherwise likes to hide one or two corners. At Bärenkopf, the entire Achensee lies at your feet - and then your followers.
The panorama rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and the best views of the Lienz Dolomites are the insta-highlight of the Dolomitenhütte. The waiting lists for the Adlernest and Adlerhorst rooms can understandably be long. But it's worth the wait - there aren't many places where you can wake up to a view like this! The Karlsbaderhütte is located on the turquoise-blue Laserzsee lake, amidst the rocky peaks of the Lienz Dolomites - a wonderful place to take photos.
