Geli was born, raised and still lives in Strengen am Arlberg, a small village 10 minutes outside St. Anton am Arlberg. She is married to Stefan Häusl and they have a daughter, Jana. The Arlberg is her main guiding and skiing area. Geli works as a self employed, fully certified, ski instructor and ski guide in winter and as a professional trekking guide in summer. Geli took part in many ski expeditions around the world. Alaska, Argentina, Greenland, Nepal, Tibet, Canada, Scandinavia and Iran… are just a few to mention. Geli was also competing in many freeride competitions, having lot’s of fun along the way whilst achieving podium positions a number of times.You can also see Geli skiing in a few freeride movies such as: „Headscarf vs Beanie“ -an all girl’s ski trip to Iran and „Elements“ an arty travel freeride movie.
