Attraction The Maria-Hilf chapel

Götzens

The Maria-Hilf chapel

Description

The chapel was built in 1905 and is located between the Götzner Berghöfe farms at an altitude of 1,058 metres above sea level. The chapel was extensively renovated in 2015/16 and now shines in a new splendour that makes it well worth a visit. The altarpiece is a copy of the famous Maria Hilf (Mary of Succor) painting that is on display at St. James' Cathedral in Innsbruck. Beautiful wooden benches invite you to sit and enjoy silent prayer. The chapel roof is adorned with a small bell tower that is home to a bell from 1905 (Barbara bell).
