Servite Church

Description

You'll find this church, with its baroque tower in Maria-Theresien-Straße between St Anne's Column (Annasäule) and the Triumphal Arch (Triumphpforte). Why not connect your visit with a walk around the city? Simply head from the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl), straight on along the pedestrianised street, and you'll automatically reach the church further down Maria-Theresien-Straße. At the edge of the street, a prominent chapel bay opens up the facade. The outside fresco is new, arranged after clearance of war rubble in the mid-20th century.

The church was built in the early 1600s and received its current appearance in the late-baroque period. Inside, there are elements from many ages to see, from early baroque to the 20th century.
