A market town near the city with excellent public transport links to Innsbruck: Rum offers both urban areas and an old village centre up above the valley. It is a good starting point for exploring the Karwendel Nature Park, enjoying a hike to one of the many mountain huts, taking a bike ride in summer or going tobogganing in winter. The city of Innsbruck is easy to reach by bus or train for sightseeing, shopping, dining out at restaurants or seeing a show at the theatre.
