At the foot of the Zahmer Kaiser, the animal world takes on an exotic form. The private zoo in Ebbs near Kufstein is home to around 500 animals and around 70 different species.
The animals are housed in a lovingly designed enclosure, surrounded by the kind of floral splendor that is rarely found in a zoo. The zoo's operators are primarily concerned with breeding and preserving rare bird species that are threatened with extinction. The undisputed public favorites at the zoo are the Barbary macaques. The zoo has been awarded "Very good for animal welfare and zoological care" by a private team of experts.
Tyrol's only wildlife park with over 500 animals and more than 70 different species. The entire zoo is accessible by wheelchair and with pushchairs.
