The peace bell of the Alpine region in the Telfer district of Mösern is an imposing, free-standing bell on a hill with a magnificent view of the Oberinntal.
The new Peace Bell of the Alpine region has been installed at its new location in Mösern!
The newly cast bell weighs a whole 10,450 kilos - truly impressive! It bears the coats of arms of all ARGE ALP countries and an inscription that commemorates the founding of the "Working Group of the Alpine Countries" in 1973. After the Peace Bell was cast by the Grassmayr Bell Foundry in Innsbruck, it was loaded and transported over Telfs to its new location. In beautiful late summer weather, it was installed and now towers above Mösern. Soon, its impressive ringing will resonate through the Alps once again.
