Attraction lake Weidachsee

Leutasch

lake Weidachsee

Description

Perfect for fishing or strolling around

The lake, the Weidachsee, is set in beautiful alpine countryside in the Leutasch valley. It has a long history and is described in Emperor Maximilian’s famous fishing book from the year 1500 as ‘the soul of Leutasch’. The wide paths around the lake are perfect for taking a stroll and are suitable for families with push-chairs.

The Leutasch Fishery offers you the chance to fish in the lake and since there is no need to have a fishing licence, the fishing pond is a great place for beginners to have a go. If you like fish but are not interested in fishing, you can have a look in the Fischladele on-site shop for some freshly-caught trout or char.

Once you have finished fishing or walking around the lake, you can relax on the café’s sun terrace.

Please note that this is not a bathing lake.
Please note: Parking at the lake is only allowed for fisherman!
Please use the following car parks: P15, P21, P23
