Description

In the middle of the wide, sparsely populated mountain ridge between the Lech and Inn valleys, a road leads through the remote Bschlabertal and over the Hahntennjoch. Many bends, rugged rock faces and steep precipices make it particularly popular with motorcyclists. Coming from Imst, the high mountain road to the Hahntennjoch is characterised by a barren rock and scree landscape. Up to the pass at 1,894 metres above sea level, a good 1,000 metres in altitude have to be overcome, with gradients of up to 19 percent. Especially for motorcyclists this is a winding pleasure, for racing cyclists a sporting challenge. On the west side, the Hahntennjoch shows its lovely side with the charming Bschlabertal valley. The route descends through forests and meadows to the Lechtal valley. In the villages of Pfafflar, Boden and Bschlabs there are places to stop for refreshments. Otherwise, you should simply enjoy the local mountain scenery. The pass road is open from the end of May to the end of October, depending on the weather. In winter, the section between Boden and Imst is closed. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
