From the turbulent rafting course to the petting zoo and Austria's highest family rollercoaster - there's plenty for young and young-at-heart guests to experience at Familienland Pillersee. And in rainy weather, the climbing hall is just the thing.

We recommend because

While the little ones pet dwarf goats, monkeys, ponies and guinea pigs in the petting zoo or try their hand at flying in the airplane carousel, the "Big Bang" rattles over the heads of visitors at 80 kilometers per hour. The 22-metre-high family rollercoaster is the highest of its kind in Austria and can be used by children from the age of four when accompanied by their parents. The lively white-water rafting course and the 12-metre-high giant swing "Pirate Ship" also prove to be crowd pullers. The softball cannons are great fun for young and old alike. And in Vikingland, where Wicki and the strong men live, you can get a little spooky. If the weather doesn't play ball, the climbing hall with its 60 routes and 4.50-metre-high bouldering wall is a worthwhile destination.
